The Journey to Milly’s Market: A New Chapter Begins

It’s finally here. Milly’s Market is making its way back into the world, stronger and more inspired than ever.

For those of you who’ve followed along since the beginning, Milly’s Market was born from a simple yet profound idea: to bridge the gap between New Yorkers and the incredible bounty of fresh, locally grown foods available in and around our city. This vision wasn’t just about food—it was about people, connection, and wellness. It was about creating a space where we could all celebrate the flavors, traditions, and stories that make New York so unique.

The Early Days

Milly’s Market first began as a series of pop-up farm stands, plant-based dinners, and wellness events. At the time, I was juggling raising my son in Brooklyn, working in NYC’s restaurant industry, and diving deep into community food advocacy. I was inspired by my own challenges finding fresh, nutritious ingredients in my neighborhood and driven by the connections I made with farmers and gardeners eager to share their harvests with our city.

Those early efforts gained a loyal following, and the market quickly became more than just a place to shop—it became a gathering space, a movement, and a celebration of local food.

But like so many small businesses, Milly’s Market faced setbacks. Life threw its curveballs, and I had to take a step back to rethink how to grow this dream into something sustainable and lasting.

The Relaunch

Fast forward to today, and I’m proud to say that this relaunch represents a new chapter, shaped by everything I’ve learned and everyone I’ve met along the way.

So, what’s new?

Seasonal Bundles: We’re kicking things off with our Holiday Harvest Box, filled with locally sourced produce and goods that will make your holiday meals unforgettable.

Wellness-Focused Offerings: From curated bundles to resources that promote holistic health, Milly’s Market is about more than just food—it’s about living well.

Stronger Community Ties: I’ve been reconnecting with farmers, gardeners, and fellow food lovers across NYC to create something truly collaborative.

This isn’t just a relaunch—it’s a recommitment to the mission of making fresh, local food accessible to all New Yorkers, especially in underserved communities.

The Road Ahead

As we gear up for the official launch in December, I want to invite you to be part of this journey. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing updates, behind-the-scenes moments, and ways for you to get involved. Whether it’s ordering your first bundle, joining a future dinner event, or simply sharing this vision with a friend, your support means everything.

Milly’s Market has always been about us. It’s about the farmers and gardeners who grow our food, the neighbors who share recipes, and the communities who need and want access to the best our region has to offer.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I can’t wait to grow, celebrate, and connect with all of you as we take Milly’s Market to new heights.

With gratitude and excitement,
